1) What is the cost for adding additional domains or virtual domains to the server?

Each additional domain or virtual host is $10 per month for 1-24 domains. The $50 per domain setup charge is waived for option 5 users. 25-49 domains the price is reduced to 7.50 per domain and after 50 domains on the server, the price per month is dropped to $5 each for all the domains.

2) With a dedicated server can I provide virtual servers?

Not exactly. We are unique in that we give our clients not only their own IP address, but their own copy of the Apache Web server and the Web Site Manager as well. This allows customers complete flexibility and control over how they want to run their Web site. The dedicated server option is not for setting up virtual servers. Each dedicated server is assigned only one IP address. Virtual hosting is available however. 3) What is the advantage of a dedicated server over your other four options?

The dedicated server option is not the best option for everyone, however for customers that fit any of the below criteria, it is without a doubt, the best choice for an Internet presence:

Customers using over 300 megabytes of storage

Customers using over 1 gigabyte of data transfer per day

Customers who want to install applications that require root access

Customers needing a Windows 2000 server (one of our options)

Customers wanting to give their users separate FTP and TELNET access to their accounts

Customers who are knowledgeable with UNIX and want access to all the server files to customize the server to meet their exact needs

Customers who are overly cautious about security and do not want to share the hardware

Customers who have or plan on hosting a large number of virtual domains

4) Can I run Real Audio or listserve on your dedicated servers?

Of course! One of the main benefits of having your own dedicated server is the ability to run almost any software made for Solaris on your server. We have chosen the Solaris operating system because it is one of the most widely used UNIX platforms and Internet software is readily available.

5) How long does it take to upgrade the server from an existing option?

It only takes about 1-7 days (depending on if the server is in stock) to upgrade a user from one of our current options 1-4 to an option 5 server. Depending on how many megs of data the user has in files, the actual transfer time averages about 1 hour.

6) Will the current server and its contents remain intact after upgrading from an existing option?

Yes. All the files and their properties remain unchanged. If any programs daemons are running they will have to be restarted but that is all. All the file locations and paths remain the same.
